After an international tender, Petersham Group, supported by London-based commercial architects, BCI Studios, were appointed to undertake a project to define and plan the entertainment, leisure and tourism aspects of new city
quarters, the City Side Developments (CSD), being developed alongside two of the airports under Adani’s management.
This has involved an assessment of existing provision and potential competition in the cities of Ahmedabad and Lucknow, going on to define the potential market,
characteristics of key user groups, and calculating likely demand.
We went on to benchmark against international examples, both of mixed-use destination developments anchored by leisure, and against international standard visitor attractions, before proposing a mix of concepts for the CSD in each location and top-level business plans for each. We have worked with the client team and with their master planners to define the physical space requirements and locate them in the wider scheme, which also includes hotels and conference centre.
